Project
A proximity-based platform to listen, document and rebuild belonging.
TRAMA BCN articulates cultural, educational and community processes in neighborhoods, civic facilities and proximity spaces across Barcelona, focusing on migrated memories and contemporary forms of coexistence.
A platform, not an exhibition
TRAMA BCN is not conceived as a one-off event or a traditional exhibition. It functions as a cultural, educational and social working framework in its founding phase, designed to activate relationships between contemporary art, mediation, intercultural education and community documentation.
Its value is not only in showing artworks, but in creating the conditions for institutions, proximity spaces, artists, communities and partners to build bonds, produce learning and document urban memories in a situated way.
Institutional note: The program is in the design and institutional articulation phase. Operational outcomes, participants or funds raised are not presented without a source, period and verification methodology.
What TRAMA BCN activates
Cultural mediation
Processes connecting contemporary art, proximity spaces and communities through listening, dialogue and situated interpretation.
Intercultural education
Workshops, educational materials, public conversations and civic learning as a structural part of the model.
Community documentation
Documentation of urban memories, migrated narratives, territorial bonds and learning generated through the process.
Urban belonging
Actions that help rebuild bonds, recognize trajectories and expand forms of cultural participation in Barcelona.
Why it may matter to institutions and partners
TRAMA BCN offers a clear architecture to turn culture, education and mediation into documentable territorial capacity. For an institution, this means supporting a coherent framework with explainable objectives, traceability, prudent public language and local collaboration potential.
- A territorial narrative aligned with Barcelona as a city of multiple migrations and urban memories.
- A methodology that can involve civic centers, libraries, museums, universities, foundations and community organizations.
- A working framework compatible with intercultural education, civic participation, cultural mediation and public documentation.
A project designed to grow responsibly.
The next step is to understand how the model works, which educational lines it can activate and what kind of institutional partnership makes sense in Barcelona.
